Stroke rehabilitation
Mission neurology is dedicated to helping you recover after a stroke, and minimizing the risk of recurrent strokes. In addition to routine surveillance post-stroke, our outpatient neurology program focuses on health maintenance and medication management to lower risk factors. We often coordinate with your primary care provider if you have broader risk factors like diabetes or hypertension. In some cases, you may continue to follow up with our practice, or work only with your primary care provider.
We also provide support and treatment for post-stroke deficits, including speech dysfunction, weakness, spasticity and pain. If additional rehabilitation is needed, we work alongside our physical rehabilitation colleagues to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy.
